With exceedingly atractive style the Croatian Music Institute (Croatian: HGZ) and M.Paar took part in the concluding celebration of the 250th anniversary of W.A.Mozart’s birth. The only, never surpassed Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A-major featured by high Koechl’s number 622 came to schedule after excellently received performances of the Clarinet Quintet K581 and the Croatian Premiere of the Allegro in B-flat major K516c from May this year. M.Paar and the Symphony Orchestra of HGZ under dr. M.Bačić carried out the concert on the eve of the Christmas Eve in the Concert Hall of Matija Gubec in Stubica (Croatia). It was specially for this event that M.Paar composed quite challenging arrangement* of the famous Rondo alla turca and performed it at the end of the concert accompanied by the thundering applause of the thrilled audience. HGZ with the Orchestra as its integral part, excels as the oldest Croatian music institution whose part in music and social life of Zagreb and Croatia is today being estimated as crucial. Founded as early as 1827, HGZ has inherited the legacy of the middle-european cultural circle. Its magnificent concert hall and the treasury of music scripts archive placed in a historical building in the very centre of Zagreb, witnesses the tradition of the highest rank.
