Teacher/Lecturer

In 2007 Mihael Paar joined the faculty of his alma mater, The Ferdo Livadić School of Music in Samobor, one of the leading educational institution for music in Croatia today with woodwind department enjoying particularly exquisite reputation. Fields of his study include clarinet and chamber music.

For his teaching work Mr. Paar has received several consecutive honors from the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports, the Zagreb County and the Town of Samobor. In 2015 he has achieved mentor status awarded by the Education and Teacher Training Agency (AZOO). His students are top prize-winners of International and Croatian National competitions, both in soloist and chamber music division, have appeared on featured concert series and venues, as well as Croatian National Television (HRT).

Mihael Paar welcomes invitations for master classes and guest lectures, outreach community programs and educational concerts. From standard format masterclasses to specialized lecture themes, the target group stretches from beginners to advanced students, both in clarinet literature and chamber music involving the clarinet. Lectures encompass themes like extended techniques, basset clarinet, Croatian music for clarinet and much more. All types of courses can be carried out in English, German and Croatian.
